Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Chennai is seeking an experienced Java backend engineer to contribute to large-scale microservices and Spring Boot applications. The role emphasizes robust design, performance, and reliable delivery in a fast-paced team environment.

You will work with RESTful services, ORM tools, and modern build and versioning systems, applying UML and OOAD to drive quality, scalability, and maintainability across complex enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Java development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience with REST APIs and relational databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
• Proficiency in Java multi-threading, synchronization, and collections.
• Experience with UML and OOAD.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliverable quality through QA practices.
• 6+ years of experience should be reflected in a strong development background with Java Spring Boot and microservices.

Job description

• HTML5,CSS3/4
• Experience in PostgreSQL or any Database like Oracle
• Should have experience in JPA/Hibernate
• Should be proficient in Java Multi-threading, Synchronization, Collections and Exception handling concepts
• Experience in working with UML and applying Object Oriented analysis and design concepts
• Strong exposure working with REST API
• Should be proficient in GIT or any Sub versioning tool like SVN,CVS
• Strong experience in Maven
• Should have strong logical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Should have experience in Agile/Scrum working methodology
