Job description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Provide technical leadership for an agile development team, championing best practices in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Foster a culture of quality through developer-led automated testing initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in SDLC, agile and DevOps processes using key performance indicators, including DORA metrics, to enhance team efficiency and software delivery.

Recommended Qualifications:

15 + years of relevant experience in Apps Development and systems analysis role Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Proven implementation of design pattern and enterprise level architecture. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development. Java & Test-Driven Development are essential. Great exposure to microservices architecture, API gateway. Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively. UI tech stack knowledge will be advantage.

Skills:

Must have expert level (hands-on) knowledge and understanding in Angular, React, JAVA/J2EE, Spring boot, Spring framework stack Must have Deep understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practices, patterns- Spring boot microservices is highly preferred Must have Hands-on Oracle / NoSQL (MongoDB) knowledge / experience Must have experience in SCMs like GIT; and tools like JIRA Good understanding of Kafka is highly desirable Agile/Scrum methodology experience is required. Strong systems analysis, design and architecture fundamentals, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities Ability to contribute in high- and low-level system design (Sequence diagram, class diagrams) Strong communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders

Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering technical growth and driving delivery. Consistently demonstrates clear, concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to take end-to-end ownership of projects and initiatives. Fully committed and authoritative, able to make decisions confidently and drive them to completion. Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities, and related reporting to identify best practices. Demonstrated analytic and diagnostic skills. Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner effectively with virtual teams. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
