Job summary

Capgemini Bengaluru is seeking a capable full‑stack Java developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications using Java and Spring Boot, with REST APIs and microservices.

You will build responsive UIs with React, work across the SDLC, and collaborate with product owners and DevOps for CI/CD and deployment. Strong knowledge of relational databases and cloud‑native development is a plus.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using React.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, UI/UX designers, and development teams to deliver business solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Write clean, scalable, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and high availability.
• Work closely with DevOps teams for application deployment and CI/CD implementation.
• Support production releases and troubleshoot application issues.

Backend

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17+
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
• Experience in developing REST APIs and Microservices
• Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Experience with API integration and service-oriented architecture

Frontend (Angular or React)

• Strong experience in ReactJS
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Experience in building responsive and reusable UI components
• Knowledge of state management frameworks and frontend best practices
• Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as: - SQL Server / Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL
• Understanding of cloud-native application development is a plus
