Job summary

On Direct Marketing Services is seeking a skilled backend developer to design and build robust, scalable services and APIs, with a strong focus on microservices architecture and real-time features.

You will collaborate with frontend teams using React/Next.js and integrate cloud platforms like AWS, while writing clean code, tests, and participating in Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js / Fastify / NestJS).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and GraphQL.
• Proven experience designing and working with Microservices Architecture service decomposition, inter-service communication (REST, gRPC, message brokers).
• Hands-on experience with WebSockets / Socket.io for building real-time, event-driven applications
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for async microservices communication
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB / Redis)
• Familiarity with ORM/ODM libraries (Sequelize, Prisma, Mongoose)
• Knowledge of authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Session Management)
• Proficiency in React.js or equivalent modern frontend framework
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript
• Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Context API)
• Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Responsibilities
