Job summary

Kanary Staffing seeks a Java Full Stack Developer with 9–13 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React.js. You will build robust backend services and responsive frontend interfaces, integrating REST APIs and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setup to deliver secure, scalable software with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building robust backend services, developing responsive frontend applications, integrating REST APIs, and working with relational and NoSQL databases.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js.
• Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Develop dynamic, responsive, and reusable UI components using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and third-party APIs.
• Implement business logic, application security, authentication, and authorization.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to application stability and reliability.

Required Technical Skills

Backend Technologies

• Strong proficiency in Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Understanding of distributed systems and backend application design.

Frontend Technologies

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js, functional components, and React Hooks.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with state management using Redux, Context API, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience integrating REST APIs into React applications.
• Understanding of responsive design, reusable components, and frontend performance optimization.

Database & ORM

• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries, joins, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with Hibernate and JPA.
• Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is an advantage.

Tools & Engineering Practices

• Version control using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Jest or React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise-grade, scalable web applications.
• Knowledge of application security, JWT, OAuth 2.0, and role-based access control.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Understanding of caching, logging, monitoring, and application performance tuning.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud-native application deployment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
