Job summary

TSYS is seeking a Software Engineer to join our WPT Client team and help shape global payments solutions. You will develop high quality code for new features, ensure proper test coverage, and own independent capability development in a fast-paced fintech environment.

The role requires hands-on Java (JAVA8+), Spring Boot, JUnit, REST API work, and cloud/CI/CD awareness. Expect collaboration across teams with UK overlap and opportunities to learn modern technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven Java development experience with focus on scalable features.
• Strong REST API design and implementation skills.
• Good testing discipline with JUnit or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot applications.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform) is a plus.
• Ability to learn fast and adapt to evolving tech.

What you'll own

• high quality code development for new features
• ensure proper test coverage
• A ideal candidate will have responsibility of developing of independent capability within software in a specified time frame following industry wide best practices with an objective to learn on the job and adhere to new principles and practices as it evolves.
• This is a 100% developer position where the candidate is expected to be proficient and has a good hands-on on JAVA, with good working / hands-on with JAVA8+
• There will be normal business hours allowing some overlap with UK business hours.

An ideal candidate shall possess below capabilities:
