Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) seeks a mid-level Java Developer to build scalable microservices and REST APIs in a cloud-first environment using Java 17+, Spring Boot and AWS. You will join an agile squad and contribute to digital platforms used by millions of customers.

You will design RESTful APIs, ensure code quality with TDD/BDD, support production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role offers learning and growth within a diverse, inclusive Vodafone group.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17+ with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Experience building scalable microservices in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of testing approaches (TDD/BDD) and Agile practices.
• Knowledge of AWS services and containerization with Docker.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices as part of an agile squad.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Ensure high quality and performance with coding standards and tests.
• Contribute to testing strategies including unit/integration/end-to-end tests.
• Provide production support and on-call troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers.

This role focuses on developing secure, reliable, and high-performing applications using modern technologies such as Java (v17+), Spring Boot, and AWS.
