Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is hiring a Java Backend Developer for Bangalore. The role requires building scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices in a hybrid setup (2 days in-office).

You will work with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust APIs and services. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Java backend experience, strong Spring Boot skills, and a solid grounding in RESTful design and OO patterns.

Job Title: Java Backend Developer

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid - 2 days a week from office)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and build robust Microservices and REST APIs for enterprise-grade applications.
• Take ownership of features from technical design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build secure, resilient, maintainable, and high-performing backend services.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Mobile, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to coding standards, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
• Solid experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design pattern
