Job summary

Citi in India, Maharashtra, invites applications for an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst to participate in the establishment and implementation of enterprise application systems in coordination with the Technology team. Ideal candidates will have 10-12 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, RESTful Web Services, and hands-on work with Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, and MongoDB.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Job description

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• 10-12 years of experience in enterprise application development using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Should have strong knowledge and hands on experience in JAVA (Version 1.8 or above) / Microservice/J2EE / Spring boot / restful Web Services.
• Deep understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practices,
• Expertise in design patterns and Solid principles
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to code, perform code reviews and recommend best practices
• Knowledge of running containerized application using Docker/Kubernetes
• Knowledge of messaging platform such as Kafka
• Experience in NoSql database like MongoDB

Nice to have

• Experience in Python
• Experience in REACT framework
