Job summary

GBIT (Global Bridge InfoTech Inc) is seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer to design and build scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs. You will drive event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka, ensure security and performance, and collaborate across teams in a cloud-native environment.

The role focuses on IC execution, distributed systems design, and rigorous testing, with strong emphasis on CI/CD, containers, and modern development practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+ and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience building Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka — producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, retries, and error handling.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, resiliency, scalability, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with JUnit/Mockito and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, design patterns, and clean coding practices.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka. This is primarily an Individual Contributor (IC) role focused on developing scalable, cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
