Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Japanese Language Trainer role based in the Mohali district campus of Chandigarh University. The trainer will deliver engaging Japanese language classes, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills for learners at different proficiency levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating lesson plans, preparing teaching materials, conducting classroom and lab sessions, and using appropriate assessment methods to evaluate learner progress. The role also involves mentoring students, supporting language-related academic activities, coordinating with other faculty members, and contributing to curriculum development and co-curricular language programs.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to facilitate interactive and learner-centered Japanese language classes.
• Candidates should possess skills in Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured syllabi, creating instructional materials, and aligning lessons with academic standards.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Literature, particularly Japanese literature and culture, to enrich classroom content and contextual understanding.
• Fluency in Japanese (preferably JLPT N2 or higher) and strong command of English for effective classroom communication and documentation.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience in teaching Japanese in academic or training settings, with familiarity in using digital tools and multimedia resources for language instruction.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
