Job summary

Speed Global is seeking a piping design engineer to craft piping layouts and 3D models from P&ID references in complex plant projects.

Role involves building isometrics, BOM extraction, and coordination with teams; strong English communication is required and experience with Navis and CAD tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 to 6 years of experience in piping design and engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Experience with industry codes (ASME, API) and piping standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations for pipe thickness and size.
• Prepare piping isometrics from layout drawings.
• Create piping design using P&ID references.
• Prepare electrical cable tray design and P&ID updates.
• Read P&ID and translate into 3D piping models.
• Extract BOM from isometrics and support layout checks.
• Familiar with Navis model and clash testing.
• Lead project tasks and coordinate with team.

Job description

• Perform Engineering calculations like pipe thickness and size.
• Preparation of Piping Isometrics based on Layout drawing.
• Preparation of Piping Design by referring P&ID
• Preparation of Electrical cable tray Design
• Ability to read P & ID and based on that prepare Piping 3D
• Ability to read pipe stress analysis report.
• Extraction of BOM from Isometric drawing
• Preparation of Piping Layout.
• Familiar with Navis model and clash test
• Preparation of P&ID based on input.
• Knowledge of equipment creation based on Equipment GA.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 1 to 6 Years of experience in piping design and engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience working in all kind of industry plant bas projects.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
• Experience with such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Cad Works, AutoCAD
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of excel, word and Power point
