Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, and install mechanical parts, components, and machinery using blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform precision measurements, alignments, and adjustments to ensure parts meet tolerance standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment, including welding, grinding, and machining tasks.
• Inspect tools, machines, and finished products for defects, wear, or malfunctions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to fabricate custom parts or modify existing designs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace regulations.
• Document work processes, including maintenance logs and quality checks, for record-keeping and audits.
• Assist in training junior staff or apprentices on fitting techniques and best practices and finished products for defects, wear, or malfunctions, and recommend corrective actions.
