Job summary

Signode's SOC team seeks a security operations professional to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents. You will help improve SOC processes and work with the team on threat hunting, malware analysis, and log-driven investigations.

The ideal candidate has 1-2+ years in cyber security operations, solid incident response and forensics knowledge, and familiarity with Azure environments and IDPS/EDR/firewall logs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT Cybersecurity.
• Azure Certifications.
• 1-2+ years in hands-on cyber security operations.
• 1-2+ years in an internal SOC or MSSP.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with IDPS/EDR/firewall log analysis.
• Strong incident response, malware analysis, and forensics fundamentals.
• Familiarity with security detection rules and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts through ITSM platforms.

Job description

Summary

This position will be part of Signode's IT Security Operations Center (SOC) team and will be responsible for all internal security operations tasks as they pertain to the Security Operations Center. This position will be expected to work alongside the team to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents, as well as working towards improving SOC processes. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in incident response, malware analysis, and threat intelligence.

Essential Functions

• Monitoring of security alerts through ITSM platforms
• Respond to security alerts, utilizing open-source intelligence to enrich investigations with meaningful information
• Monitoring, evaluating, and profiling of cyber threats to the organization
• Proactively hunt security threats and anomalies on the network
• Analyze malware statically and dynamically in a sandbox environment
• Stay up to date with the latest threat attack vectors and countermeasures
• Develop and maintain documentation on SOC processes and procedures

Position Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in IT Cybersecurity
• Certifications Azure Certifications
• Experience: 1-2+ years in a hands-on technical role in cyber security operations
• 1-2+ years' experience within an internal SOC or an MSSP
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments and solutions
• Experience working with and analyzing logs related to IDPS, EDR, and firewall solutions
