Job summary

LRN Corporation is seeking an IT Manager to lead the Corporate IT team in Mumbai, overseeing Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and Office 365 stack. The role includes managing and securing identities, devices, and collaboration tools across a global user base.

The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years in system administration, strong communication, and a habit of proactive ownership, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in system administration or similar roles.
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365, ITIL, AWS, or Okta are a plus.
  • Experience managing or supporting a global IT team.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and escalation management skills.
  • Experience leading corporate technology infrastructure initiatives.
  • Ability to drive automation and implement IT processes.

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled, accountable, and proactive IT Manager / Systems Administration Team Lead to join our Corporate IT team.This role will be responsible for leading IT operations, managing and maintaining core infrastructure, ensuring reliable end-user support, and driving disciplined execution across systems, services, and support processes.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on technical administration experience with clear ownership, proactive communication, team leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset have hands-on experience in system administration and expertise in managing modern IT tools and platforms.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD), including user provisioning, access management, and group administration.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environments.
  • Technically skilled Administer Office 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
  • Act as a SharePoint Admin, managing site collections, permissions, storage allocation, automated archiving and workflows to enhance collaboration.
  • Act as an Intune Admin, managing device deployments, app deployments, device configuration deployments, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead hardware and software support for end users, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner closely with the People Operations team to support user onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Provide administrative support for Teams and Zoom platforms, ensuring reliable communication services.
  • Oversee identity and access management using Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Okta, including MFA and SSO configurations.
  • Experience with AWS and Palo Alto firewall configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of SaaS platforms, VPN services, end-user support, endpoint security operations, vendor coordination, access control, IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Own ITSM ticket queue management, including SLA performance, backlog review, aging-ticket control, ticket quality, closure discipline, and monthly reporting with identified improvement areas.
  • Lead incident and problem management activities, including timely escalation, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and preventive measures to reduce repeat issues.
  • Provide proactive stakeholder communication for service issues, escalations, operational updates, planned changes, and leadership reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and manage end-user devices running Windows and macOS, ensuring compliance with security standards and seamless operations.

  • SaaS application Licenses and budget (Capex and Opex) management.
  • Provide responsive and professional support for executive leadership requirements and escalations.
  • Use scripting and automation tools, including PowerShell, to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardize repeatable tasks.
  • Drive operational excellence through strong ownership, responsiveness, disciplined execution, and continuous process improvement.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team through clear direction, delegation, regular feedback, performance tracking, accountability, skill development, and ongoing coaching.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in system administration or a similar role
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365, ITIL, AWS, or Okta would be an added advantage.
  • Experience managing or supporting a global IT team.
  • Strong proactive stakeholder communication and escalation management skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and leading corporate technology infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong aptitude for driving innovation, streamlining processes, and implementing automation.
  • Self-starter with the ability to think independently and take full ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying and addressing complex challenges.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
