We are looking for an outstanding, business-savvy, and technically skilled IT Delivery Manager with 14 to 18 years of IT industry expertise to lead our enterprise software delivery portfolios. Within this role, you will own the strategic delivery roadmap, operational execution, and engineering excellence across multiple, cross-functional teams building and modernizing large-scale systems on Java/Spring and/or .NET/C# stacks. You will serve as a strategic bridge between executive business leaders, product management, and engineering teams, driving robust Agile delivery frameworks while upholding high standards of code quality, architecture scalability, and cloud governance. Our ideal candidate has evolved from a strong technical background (originally as a Software Developer, Tech Lead, or Architect in Java/.NET) into a seasoned delivery leader capable of overseeing multi-million-dollar portfolios, driving engineering transformations, and mentoring next-generation tech leaders.
Responsibilities
- Direct and govern the end-to-end delivery of a multi-million-dollar portfolio of enterprise applications built on modern Java and .NET stacks
- Champion and scale Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across multiple distributed product engineering teams, optimizing velocity, cycle time, and release predictability
- Manage and optimize the portfolio budget, forecasting resource needs, controlling operational expenses (OpEx/CapEx), and ensuring high ROI
- Establish robust delivery governance, spot systemic delivery risks early, and implement proactive mitigation plans to safeguard critical business timelines and SLAs
- Orchestrate end-to-end software delivery for complex, enterprise-level Java/.NET applications through Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologies
- Adapt traditional Agile metrics (team velocity, sprint burn-down, cycle time) to assess and optimize productivity gains realized through GenAI tools
- Coordinate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, making sure development workflows seamlessly integrate AI code generation, automated unit testing, and code review
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to guide development teams migrating legacy monolithic codebases into modern cloud-native (AWS, Azure, or GCP) microservices
- Provide high-level technical oversight for teams delivering on the Java Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate) or .NET Ecosystem (.NET Core, .NET 8+, C#, ASP.NET Web API)
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery pipelines, championing automated testing, robust CI/CD maturity, DevSecOps adoption, and cloud infrastructure optimization
- Partner with VP/C-level executives, Product Owners, and Business Units to translate long-term business strategy into actionable technical delivery roadmaps; oversee strategic offshore/nearshore development partners, manage SOWs, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure third-party deliverables meet quality and security standards
- Mentor and inspire a high-performing organization of Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, and Software Engineers (onshore, offshore, and hybrid), cultivating a culture of psychological safety, accountability, continuous upskilling (including AI-assisted engineering tools like Copilot), and innovation
- Set clear performance goals, share constructive feedback, and identify and nurture high-potential talent within the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a business-related discipline
- 14 to 18 years of overall IT industry experience
- 6+ years in an IT Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Delivery Director role overseeing multiple concurrent software development teams
- Proven record of successfully managing enterprise portfolios with budgets exceeding $5M+ and teams of 50+ engineers
- Background in software engineering, with hands-on experience across Java (Spring frameworks, Spring Boot, J2EE legacy) and/or .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core)
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), cloud-native design patterns, and serverless architectures
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Knowledge of distributed database environments (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions
- Expertise in modern integration technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, API Gateways)
- Proficiency in scaling Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across distributed engineering teams
- Competency in CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and automated testing frameworks
- Skills in vendor management, SOW negotiation, and executive stakeholder engagement
- Nice to have MBA or equivalent advanced business credential
- Showcase of leading engineering transformations powered by GenAI and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot)
- Capability to spearhead legacy monolithic-to-microservices modernization programs at enterprise scale
- Background in collaborating with Enterprise Architects on cloud-native migration strategies
