Job summary

Hitachi Energy in India is seeking an experienced engineer to design, configure, implement, verify, and commission industrial automation and MES-based systems across global manufacturing sites.

You will lead control activities, ensure schedules and budgets, develop and test system functionalities, and coordinate hardware integration with cross-functional teams and customers. Travel to customer sites is expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, Power Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial control systems, automation, system integration, testing, or commissioning.
  • Experience with control logic development, MES systems, systems integration, IAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, industrial automation, communication protocols, and control system architectures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in multidisciplinary, international project environments.
  • Experience managing technical deliverables while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and project requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for testing, commissioning, and technical support activities.

  • Support on-site commissioning activities and provide troubleshooting during startup and operation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best practices within engineering.

How Will You Make An Impact


  • Design, configure, implement, verify, and commission systems to meet customer and project requirements.

  • Plan and execute In ternal Acceptance Tests (IAT), Software Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities while maintaining detailed test records and technical documentation.

  • Act as a technical focal point between project management teams, local and global offices, and customers during project execution.

  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and technical reviews to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

  • Support on-site commissioning activities and provide troubleshooting assistance during system startup and operational phases.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout all project phases.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the engineering organization.


Your Background


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, Power Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
