Job summary

Emerson's Isolation Valves Oracle IT organization seeks a Business Analyst to provide functional and technical support on Oracle Quote, Order and Pricing modules for global sites, with initial focus on APAC.

You will translate business requirements into functional specifications, manage RFCs, develop training materials, ensure compliance, and collaborate with ISV Pricing team and Sales Leadership on enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years BIS experience; Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience in Oracle Order Management, understanding of quote and pricing processes.
• ≥3 years supporting Oracle Order Management or ERP modules.
• Deep understanding of interactions among Oracle modules within ERP.
• SQL experience (≥3 years).

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Oracle Order Management modules (ASO, ONT, Pricing) and Vendavo integration.
• Review and optimize Quote/Order processes for stability and speed.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve issues.
• Develop training materials and train key users.
• Ensure compliance (trade, export, SOX) in all implementations.
• Create and maintain global documentation and testing scripts.
• Participate in site implementations and global projects.

Summary of Role

As a member of the Isolation Valves Oracle IT organization, the Oracle Order Management Business Analyst provides functional and technical support and expertise on Oracle Quote, Order and Pricing modules for our Oracle single‑instance sites worldwide. This role focuses initially on the APAC region and involves becoming a subject‑matter expert on Order Management business processes and their integration with other process areas.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide application support for Oracle Order Management modules (ASO, ONT, Pricing) and Pricing integration with Vendavo software.
• Continuously review Quote/Order processes and configuration to improve stability, speed and reduce support calls.
• Collaborate with support teams (Emerson Application Support Group, DBA, Community of Practices) on issue resolution.
• Build strong relationships with business process owners and especially the ISV Pricing team.
• Work with Sales Leadership to develop enhancements that support business process changes.
• Facilitate discussions with end‑users to translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Manage the Request for Change process (RFC, FRS, TRS) when changes are required.
• Create and maintain global system and process documentation.
• Participate in community of practice meetings and global projects.
• Support B2B initiatives such as MyEmerson (online store) or EDI (BTAB, CIH).
• Develop global training material and provide training to key users.
• Ensure compliance (trade, export, Sarbanes‑Oxley) in all implementation aspects related to the functional area.
• Create testing scripts for Quality Control & Quality Service teams and support regression testing.
• Provide guidance and develop new reports (Noetix, ADW).
• Participate in new site implementations, offering functional expertise, best practices and global process support.
• Collaborate with other functional BAs to review change implications and end‑to‑end processes.
• Identify and report risks and weaknesses and raise escalation when needed.
• Support the ISV journey to Oracle Cloud (Fusion).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of business information systems experience or Master’s degree with 3 years.
• Experience in Order Management with a detailed understanding of quote and pricing processes.
• At least 3 years supporting Order Management processes or applications in an Oracle environment.
• Solid business understanding of Quote, Order and Pricing.
• Deep understanding of interactions among Oracle modules within an ERP environment.
• Minimum 3 years of SQL experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Oracle code development (PL/SQL).
• Familiarity with Noetix reporting tools.
• Experience with Vendavo Pricing software.
