Position Overview

This role is part of the Corporate Finance Function within the Finance IS Domain at ABB. The work model for this position is #Hybrid.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. You will also be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an IS solution and associated IS services delivered to business. You will showcase your expertise by ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.

Accountable for

• Design and architect robust and scalable software solutions using front‑end and back‑end technologies, including highly scalable, fault‑tolerant, and durable messaging queue systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain applications in SAP4HANA/MDG environment.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, including clean code principles, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
• Demonstrate strong DevOps acumen.
• Facilitate seamless integration of finance processes within the MDG system, and with other enterprise systems (ERP, SAP TC, etc.), ensuring smooth data flow and automation of processes across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Math, or similar.
• At least 10+ years of experience with a strong background in system configuration and implementation within SAP.
• Proven understanding of SAP solutions.
• Hands‑on experience in an SAP environment with a strong understanding of its complexity and intricacies.
• Understanding of compliance requirements.
• Certifications required: ITIL v4 Foundation.
• Preferred certifications: SAP/MDG technology‑specific certifications, IT architecture certifications.
