IP-DRG & CDI Medical Coding
Job Summary
We are looking for experienced IP-DRG & CDI professionals with strong expertise in inpatient coding, clinical documentation, and DRG validation. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of coding guidelines, clinical documentation requirements, and MS-DRG assignment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in IP-DRG, Inpatient Coding, or CDI.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG, and CDI concepts.
- Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical documentation.
- Experience in DRG validation and clinical documentation review.
- Knowledge of physician queries, CC/MCC, and POA guidelines.
- CCS / CPC / CCDS / CDIP certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet quality and productivity targets.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
CONTRACT & EMPLOYMENT
IMPORTANT: INITIAL 3-MONTH CONTRACT
- Candidates will be hired under an initial 3-month contract period.
- Based on performance and business requirements, candidates may be considered for full-time employment after successfully completing the contract period.
- Full-time employment after the contract period is subject to performance and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review inpatient medical records and clinical documentation.
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
- Review and validate MS-DRG assignments.
- Identify documentation gaps and relevant clinical indicators.
- Support CDI queries to improve documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure accurate capture of diagnoses, procedures, complications, and comorbidities.
- Follow applicable coding guidelines, compliance requirements, and client-specific standards.
- Participate in quality audits and resolve coding or documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain required quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
Preferred Candidate
Experience: 3+ Years
Domain: IP-DRG / Inpatient Coding / CDI
Certifications: CCS / CPC / CCDS / CDIP preferred
