Job summary

Skillmate is seeking a dynamic IoT Engineer to design, implement, and maintain IoT-based systems across project sites. You will ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components and support field deployments.

The role requires hands-on hardware troubleshooting, circuit diagram literacy, and experience with sensors and communication protocols. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable IoT solutions on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, IoT, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with IoT hardware deployment and field support.
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and MQTT/HTTP/Modbus.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical schematics.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and field deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy IoT solutions including sensors, devices, and communication systems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IoT hardware at field locations.
• Integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms and backend systems.
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime, reliability, and data accuracy.
• Conduct field testing, calibration, and validation of deployed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, operations, and project teams).
• Provide technical documentation, reports, and deployment updates.
• Identify and resolve technical issues proactively in field and remote environments.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols during field work.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IoT-based systems across various project sites, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software components.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, IoT, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in IoT, embedded systems, or related domains
• Strong knowledge of microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, etc.)
• Experience with sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, Modbus, etc.)
• Basic understanding of networking, data acquisition, and system integration
• Hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and field deployments
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical schematics
