We are hiring an iOS Developer to build polished, user-friendly iOS applications for Octopus Technologies. You will use Swift and SwiftUI to create native experiences that integrate with our backend services and deliver value to developers and educators. This role offers the opportunity to shape mobile products from the ground up, working in a small, focused team where your decisions directly influence the product.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
• Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect, accessible user interfaces
• Integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections for real‑time features
• Write unit tests and UI tests using XCTest and XCUITest frameworks
• Manage app submissions, reviews, and updates through the Apple App Store
• Optimize app performance, startup time, and memory footprint
• Implement push notifications, deep linking, and local storage
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team engineering standards

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience developing iOS applications
• Strong proficiency in Swift and familiarity with SwiftUI
• Experience with Xcode, Interface Builder, and the iOS SDK
• Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and accessibility standards
• Experience with networking libraries (URLSession, Alamofire) and JSON serialization
• Knowledge of iOS app lifecycle, memory management, and multithreading (GCD, async/await)
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience with Combine framework for reactive programming
• Knowledge of Core Data or SwiftData for local persistence
• Familiarity with Firebase iOS SDKs
• Published apps on the Apple App Store
