Job summary

Nexus is seeking an experienced contract iOS Developer to design, build, and maintain native iOS apps in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit. You will turn Figma designs into accessible interfaces, integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, and work closely with backend teams in an Agile setup.

Prepare and submit App Store builds, run TestFlight tests, and manage releases across QA, UAT, and prod environments. Remote India location, 6-month contract starting immediately.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of iOS development experience with at least one app live on the App Store.
• Hands-on experience taking apps from design to deployment, including TestFlight beta distribution and App Store submission.
• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs into iOS apps using URLSession or Alamofire, with JSON parsing via Codable.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Solid grasp of iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or TCA.
• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and Core Data or SwiftData.
• Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Experience with Xcode, Swift Package Manager, and Git hosted on Azure DevOps Repos.

Responsibilities

• Own iOS features end to end, from design handoff through development, testing, and release.
• Design, build, and maintain native iOS apps in Swift using SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Turn Figma designs into smooth, accessible, pixel-accurate interfaces.
• Connect the app to backend services: integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handle authentication (OAuth/JWT), error handling, caching, and offline states.
• Work with backend engineers to define API contracts and test endpoints with tools such as Postman or Charles Proxy.
• Write unit and UI tests with XCTest and keep the codebase clean and modular.
• Set up code signing, certificates, and provisioning profiles, and manage builds in Xcode.
• Maintain separate QA, UAT, and production builds using Xcode schemes and build configurations, following a branch-per-environment workflow.
• Upload builds to App Store Connect, run TestFlight beta testing with internal and external testers, and act on tester feedback.
• Prepare App Store listings and handle submission, App Review, and production releases, including phased rollouts.
• Monitor crashes and performance after launch with Instruments, Crashlytics, or Sentry.
• Collaborate with backend, Android, design, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
