Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced iOS Lead Engineer in Pune to drive the technical direction of our iOS platform. You will contribute hands-on development, mentor the team, and represent iOS in organizational discussions.

This role requires deep architectural thinking and the ability to guide a world-class mobile team. You will own design decisions, ensure high code quality, and shape the iOS stack using MVVM, Coordinator, and VIP architectures.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of hands-on iOS development experience.
• 1–2+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong command over Swift, UIKit, navigation patterns, and networking.
• Experience with MVVM, Coordinator, and VIP architectures.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and drive architecture decisions.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced iOS Lead Engineer who can drive the technical direction of

our iOS platform, contribute hands-on to daily development, and represent the iOS tech stack at

the organizational level. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural

thinking, and the ability to mentor and guide the team toward building a world-class mobile

experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex iOS features.
• Represent the iOS tech stack in cross-functional discussions with product, backend, QA, and design teams.
• Own and drive technical decisions, code quality, and best practices.
• Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

2. Hands-on Development

• Actively contribute to day-to-day iOS development.
• Build clean, scalable, and testable code using modern iOS frameworks.
• Ensure app performance, stability, and robustness across OS versions and devices.

3. Architecture & System Design

• Implement architectures such as MVVM, Coordinator Pattern, and VIP (CleanArchitecture/VIPER).
• Drive a unified navigation system using deep links and notifications.
• Contribute to modularization and scalable client-side architecture initiatives.

Platform Expertise

Strong understanding of the iOS tech stack including:

• NSURLSession, networking, and API integrations
• Programmatic UI (UIKit, AutoLayout, SwiftUI)
• App lifecycle, concurrency, memory management
• Push notifications, deep linking, analytics
• Build pipelines, CI/CD, release workflows

Required Qualifications

• 5–9 years of hands-on iOS development experience.
