Job summary

Capgemini in Bengaluru, at Divyashree Tech Park, is seeking an RTR Controllership professional. The role requires 5-12 years in RTR with exposure to journals, period-close, consolidation, and reporting.

Night shift flexibility is mandatory for Finance hiring; openness to all shifts; location in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The candidate should hold B.COM/M.COM/BBA/MBA (Accountancy) and demonstrate strong accounting knowledge, US GAAP/IFRS expertise, and experience coordinating audits and client

Qualifications

• Experience in RTR domain with journals, period close reports, consolidation and related reporting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledgers, FS items, consolidation and journal approval.
• Proficiency in Financial reporting, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Ability to analyze books independently and provide monthly sign-off.
• Experience handling multiple tasks during financial close days.
• Support and coordinate internal/external audits, compliance and governance.
• Understanding client business and aligning processes to audit requirements.
• Client handling experience and metrics reporting.
• People management and timely appraisals.
• Proactive communication of issues and required inputs from business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journals and perform period closes, with accurate reporting.
• Compile and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual closes including footnotes.
• Coordinate with internal/external audits and ensure governance.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests and monitor delivery and escalations.
• Interact with clients as primary team contact and report metrics.
• Lead and mentor team, ensuring timely performance reviews.
• Ensure processes align with client's business needs and audit requirements.

General Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Good experience in RTR domain with hands-on in preparing journals, period close reports/consolidated reports, reporting schedules, footnotes & Government surveys.

• Strong accounting knowledge general ledgers, FS Items, consolidation & hands-on peer review / approval of Journals & period close related reports.
• Strong knowledge in Financial reporting, US GAAP & IFRS
• Should be able to perform analysis of books independently & provide monthly sign-off for companies.
• Should have good understanding & execution capability of multiple tasks during financial close days.
• Support & co-ordinate internal / external audits, compliance & governance.
• Understand client's business and ensure that processes are aligned per clients business needs & audit requirements for monthly, quarterly & annual closes (surveys & footnotes).
• Client handling experience being face of the team to the customer & metrics reporting.
• People management & team handling experience ensuring timely appraisal of the team and maintaining excellent management / client relations.
• Should be pro-active in communicating issues & follow up required inputs from the business.
• Act as point of contact for any issues involving month end, quarter, year-end close & adhoc requests.
• Monitor and manage delivery of the team, issues, escalations and/or exceptional handling requests Experience.
• Good working knowledge in SAP, Cadency, Business Objects & other legacy systems such as Rumba, FOCUS
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives & automation opportunities.
• Proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) is must
