Responsibilities

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Interventional Cardiologist role is based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Interventional Cardiologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab, including coronary angiography, angioplasty, and other interventional cardiology procedures. Daily responsibilities include assessing patients, interpreting cardiovascular investigations, planning treatment strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care. The role also involves pre- and post-procedure patient management, adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards, and participation in case discussions, audits, and quality improvement activities. The Interventional Cardiologist is expected to maintain accurate medical records, stay updated with current cardiology guidelines, and contribute to an environment of ethical, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine, with recognized medical qualifications and registration with relevant medical councils.
• Advanced expertise in Cardiology, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures, including invasive diagnostics and therapeutic interventions.
• Specialized proficiency in Interventional and Interventional Cardiology techniques, with demonstrated procedural competency.
• Completed DM/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent recognized specialty training in interventional cardiology.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and compliance with clinical governance standards.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call duties, as required by patient care needs.
