Katcheri invites motivated final-year law students and freshers to apply for the Associate Trainee position. This opportunity includes practical exposure to GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, and other legal areas.

The selected candidate will assist in legal research, drafting of legal documents, and litigation while gaining extensive experience in diverse practice areas including IP Law and Civil Law.

This role does not guarantee conversion to a full-time Associate position but offers significant hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Final-year students pursuing recognized LL.B. courses are eligible.
• Freshers with up to 1 year of experience may apply.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills are required.

Applications are invited from motivated final-year law students and freshers for the position of Associate Trainee / Assessment Intern, with the opportunity to convert into a full-time Associate role.

The firm may engage up to 2 candidates for assessment; however, only 1 candidate will ultimately be selected for the Associate position.

This role offers extensive practical exposure to GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, litigation, advisory, drafting, and allied legal practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting legal research on GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, and allied laws
• Researching statutes, rules, notifications, circulars, and case law
• Drafting replies, appeals, writ petitions, legal opinions, and written submissions
• Assisting in litigation before adjudicating authorities, appellate forums, and tribunals
• Supporting advisory, compliance, and documentation work
• Managing deadlines, hearings, and case updates
• Assisting in expanding practice areas including Intellectual Property Law and Civil Law

Eligibility & Preference

• Final-year students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. courses recognised by the Bar Council of India
• Freshers with up to 1 year of experience may also apply
• Final-year students must intend to enrol with their respective State Bar Council upon graduation
• Freshers must already be enrolled as Advocates or awaiting AIBE results
• Strong legal research and drafting skills required
• Familiarity with Manupatra and SCC is mandatory
• Selection as an Assessment Intern/Associate Trainee does not guarantee conversion to Associate
• The firm reserves discretion to terminate the association at any stage
• Remote work or work-from-home arrangements will not be accommodated
• The selected candidate may independently handle matters after assessment completion, including client interaction, drafting, research, and appearances before forums
