Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited invites students for a 6-month internship in Digital for Corporate Analytics in Bangalore, joining the IIDM department. The role focuses on UX/UI design, rapid prototyping, and AI-driven tool interfaces, with a strong emphasis on user research and accessibility.

The program aims to develop advanced UX/UI design, prototype skills in Figma/ProtoPie/Framer, and collaboration with Product Managers and Software/ML Engineers in an agile setup.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, CS or related field.
• Proficiency with design/prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and knowledge of IA, wireframing, micro-interactions, and visual design.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end design lifecycle: wireframes, user journey mapping, high-fidelity UI designs.
• Design intuitive UIs/UX for AI/ML tools, CV workflows, and enterprise platforms.
• Conduct qualitative/quantitative user research and usability tests with end-users and technical teams.
• Maintain and expand tokenized design systems and component libraries in Figma.
• Build interactive prototypes to communicate layouts and micro-interactions to developers and PMs.

Your mission:

An internship opportunity titled: Internship in Digital for Corporate Analytics has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore. You will join the "IIDM" department.

Ideally, this is a 6 months internship and it should start in Jan 2027 (date subject to flexibility).

Your main missions will consist of:

• Supporting the end-to-end design lifecycle, including wireframing, user journey mapping, and creating high-fidelity UI designs.
• Assisting in designing intuitive user interfaces and user experiences tailored for AI/ML tools, computer vision workflows, and complex enterprise platforms.
• Helping organize and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, contextual interviews, and usability tests with end-users and technical teams.
• Contributing to the maintenance, updates, and expansion of tokenized design systems and component libraries in Figma.
• Building interactive prototypes to effectively communicate micro-interactions, layout flows, and visual hierarchy to developers and product managers.

Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:

• Advanced UX/UI design and rapid prototyping using industry-standard tools (Figma, ProtoPie, Framer).
• Human-centered design methodology applied to AI-driven tools, complex data visualizations, and spatial interfaces.
• Practical exposure to user research techniques, usability testing tools (e.g., Maze, UserTesting), and feedback synthesis.
• Understanding and applying scalable design systems and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2).
• Cross-functional collaboration in an agile environment alongside Product Managers and Software/ML Engineers.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field. You possess the following competences:

• Technical skills :
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD).
  • Solid foundation in Information Architecture, wireframing, micro-interactions, and visual design principles.
  • Basic understanding of web frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS/Tailwind, React components) to facilitate developer handoffs.
  • Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.
  • Portfolio or coursework demonstrating UX problem-solving and visual design projects.
• Soft Skills :
  • High empathy and passion for user-centered problem solving.
  • Innovative mindset with curiosity for emerging AI technologies.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Language skills :
  • English : Proficient / Fluent
