Job summary

Chegg Inc. is seeking an Internal Auditor to bridge IT and business controls, strengthening our compliance and risk environment. You will lead ICFR/SOX testing for ITGCs and IPE, collaborate with Finance and Engineering, and advise process owners on IT control improvements.

We value proactive auditors with strong communication, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting. This role sits in our Corporate Accounting function at Chegg India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years in SOX/IT Audit/Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of SOX 404 and PCAOB standards.
• Experience with IT systems, application controls and financial processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive compliance of ICFR and SOX requirements, focusing on ITGCs, application controls, and IPE for Corporate Accounting.
• Drive testing of business and IT controls.
• Partner with Finance, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to define system scoping, control objectives, testing approach, and remediation conclusions.
• Educate control owners on IT controls and remediation of audit issues.
• Assess risks from system changes, automation, and business growth.
• Monitor changes from growth, acquisitions, and IT changes impacting financial statements.
• Review audit workpapers and collaborate with external auditors.
• Support other IT audit engagements as requested by management.

What you'll do:

• Manage and drive compliance of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, particularly for IT general controls, application controls and information produced by entity (IPE) for the Corporate Accounting department.
• Drive testing of business and IT controls
• Partner with Finance, Engineering and cross functional teams to define and communicate the methodology for system scoping, control objectives, testing approach, deficiency evaluation and conclusion.
• Educate and consult with process and control owners on an effective IT control environment, including recommendations on ITGCs, application controls and IPE for key systems, and remediation of audit issues.
• Assess risks from system changes, automation, and business growth.
• Proactively identify and monitor process and system changes that result from our growth in transaction volume, international expansion, automation of processes, software application changes, accounting integration in connection with acquisitions and other areas of change that have a direct impact the Company's financial statements and related disclosures.
• Review audit workpapers and collaborate with external auditors.
• Support in any other IT audit engagements, as requested by Management.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 2 - 5 years in SOX / IT Audit / Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of SOX 404, PCAOB standards

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accountability.

Nice to have:

• CISA/CIA, ERP experience (NetSuite, Salesforce, RevPro), AWS knowledge, ISO 27001
