Job summary

Gudah Consultants in Chennai invites an experienced Internal Audit/Risk Advisory professional to lead and manage assignments from planning through closure.

You will supervise teams, ensure high-quality delivery, identify process deficiencies, and develop risk-based frameworks. Strong client-facing skills, willingness to travel, and experience with Big 4 or consulting environments are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit or Risk Consulting.
• CA qualification or Full-Time MBA from a recognized institution.
• Strong experience in internal auditing and risk assessment.
• Candidates with Big 4, consulting organizations or CA firms preferred.
• Experience in consulting and transition to other industries considered.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management experience.
• Willingness to travel for client assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage internal audit and risk consulting assignments from planning through closure.
• Manage teams and ensure timely, high-quality delivery as per defined standards and client expectations.
• Identify deficiencies and inadequacies in processes, controls and documentation.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, risk assessments, control frameworks and operating models.
• Conduct internal audits, process audits, internal financial control reviews, SOP design and control assessments.
• Design and implement risk strategies and recommend process improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Conduct quality and compliance reviews of projects.
• Communicate audit findings, risks, recommendations and policies to senior management.
• Plan audits, allocate resources and delegate work effectively.
• Independently manage and close audit assignments with minimal supervision.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and effectively resolve client-related issues.

Desired Profile

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit / Risk Consulting / Advisory.
• Qualified CA or Full-Time MBA from a recognized institution.
• Strong experience in internal auditing and risk assessment.
• Candidates with prior experience in Big 4, consulting organizations or CA firms will be preferred.
• Candidates who have previously worked in consulting and subsequently moved to another industry are also considered.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management experience.
• Willingness to travel for client assignments.
