Job summary

Akana Services is seeking an auditor to participate in integrated audits, evaluate controls, and document test work. You will communicate audit issues to management and collaborate with business and technology partners across the organization.

The role requires 2–4 years of auditing experience, a finance or accounting background, and fluency in English. Familiarity with Netsuite, Oracle, and GRC tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• 2–4 years auditing experience in public accounting, internal audit, or ICFR controls.
• CA, CPA, or CIA credentials are a plus.
• Fluent English with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and execution of integrated audits and complete work within time and budget.
• Document test work thoroughly and ensure compliance with standards.
• Write high-quality audit issues with quantification for reports to executives.
• Present audit issues and risks clearly to management.
• Collaborate with business and technology partners across the organization.
• Develop knowledge of audit and technology risks through training.
• Participate in special projects and administrative duties (roughly 10%).

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and execution of integrated audits. Execute audit procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls, completing assigned work within established and agreed timeframes and budget with a high degree of proficiency.


• Ensure compliance with all team / departmental standards and thoroughly document test work.


• Write high quality audit issues with sufficient quantification and support for inclusion in audit reports to executive management.


• Verbally articulate audit issues and associated risks to management in a clear and respectful manner.


• Build strong partnerships with business and technology partners across the organization through a collaborative approach.


• Continue to develop or enhance knowledge of audit and technology related risks and controls through training.


• Participate in special Projects & administrative responsibilities as required (10%)

Qualifications - External

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. An undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Commerce) in a relevant body of knowledge such as Finance or Accounting. Req

Work Experience

• 2-4 years auditing experience in Public Accounting Req, Internal Audit, ICFR Controls.

Licenses and Certifications

• CA, CPA, or CIA a plus Pref

• Must be technologically savvy.


• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, such as communication, problem solving and teamwork abilities.


• Must be able to communicate fluently in English


• Specific technology knowledge and experience needed to produce the desired outcomes include strong computer skills, using Google Apps and varied Microsoft Office applications, such as, Word and Excel.


• Knowledge of Netsuite, Oracle and GRC a plus.
