Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited invites applications for an Internship in Retrofit Solution SB Design. You will learn to interpret design definitions and SB configurations for aircraft MSN(s), gathering source documents and developing technical illustrations.

You will work with Engineering, Material Supply and Tech Data teams to ensure adherence to Airbus standards. The role emphasizes learning and ownership, with exposure to 3D models, drawings, and Service Bulletins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Ability to read and understand 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze the design definitions and installation principles related to aircraft mechanical and electrical systems.
• Collect and synthesize source documents including TRS/MAS, Design Drawings, SB preparation files, and 3D Design datasets.
• Perform Technical analysis: Evaluate Pre-MOD vs. Post-MOD solutions.
• Define SB Configuration for the given MSN(s) applicable.
• Determine aircraft access requirements.
• Calculate man-hour estimates for SB embodiment.
• Develop the List of Components (LOC), identifying Long Lead Items (LLI), wiring bundles and placard sets.
• Coordinate the procurement of essential data, including Weight & Balance, Electrical Load Data, SB Test and impacts on Manuals.
• Author Service Bulletins within SAMM-DACAS with tasks and procedures.
• Analyze 3D source files to develop mock-ups and technical illustrations using Tec-Draw.
• Perform self-checks to ensure Airbus standards compliance.
• Maintain interfaces with Engineering, Material Supply and Tech Data during SB lifecycle.

The Retrofit Solutions organization, operating within Customer Services Engineering & Maintenance, is tasked with providing and supporting valuable Retrofit Solutions packages. These solutions are essential for maintaining continuous aircraft airworthiness and enhancing customer operations and profitability.

Qualification & Skills

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of aircraft and aerodynamics.
• Ability to read and understand 3D models & engineering drawings.
• Good communication skills with proficiency in English.
• Proactive and willingness to learn, collaborate and take ownership.
