Job summary

CIBC India is a technology and operations hub in Hyderabad where you’ll lead quality engineering for Salesforce Cloud projects. You will design and drive manual and automated testing, coordinate testing across teams, and implement innovative testing solutions to improve quality and efficiency.

We seek a strong QA/QE professional with 5+ years in QA, hands-on automation with Tosca or Playwright, and experience in web technologies.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of experience in QA/QE and 1–3 years in development/automation.
• Automation frameworks, tools, and libraries: Tosca, Playwright or other test automation tools.
• Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile/QA tools.
• Experience writing and executing automation test cases and building object repositories for web and native elements.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and web services.

What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):

The Quality Engineer-Salesforce is responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests, and for leading/ coordinating all aspects of quality engineering and software testing for assigned projects or initiatives. This role ensures rigorous adherence to QA/QE standards, manages testing teams, and drives the implementation of automation and innovative solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The QE Coordinator adds value by providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):

• Develop, publish, and execute test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, status reports, defect and exit reports for a Salesforce Cloud implementation. Familiarity with Salesforce Sales, Marketing and Analytics components is preferable.
• Identify and obtain required test data and test environments.
• Develop, publish, and execute testing estimates and related to testing activities.
• Track and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity and defect slippage.
• Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
• Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards.
• Recognize and identify areas for process, policy, or tool improvement.
• Provide input, feedback, and challenges to technical designs and assess impacts to testing.
• Automate functional tests and maintain the test automation suite for coverage and robustness.
• Identify and implement test automation, AI, or other emerging solutions to expedite testing and improve quality.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Collaborates with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Works closely with development teams to provide feedback on technical designs and assess testing impacts.
• Interacts with external vendors and tool providers to evaluate and integrate testing solutions.
• Partners with other QA/QE professionals across the organization to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Must Have Skills:

• Domain Knowledge: Wealth Management, web-based testing, UX testing, and Accessibility testing.
• 5 + years of experience in QA/QE, 1–3 years of experience in development/ Automation.
• Automation frameworks, tools, and libraries: Tosca, Playwright or any other test automation tool.
• Expert in Jira, Confluence, and/or other similar Agile, development, and QA tools.
• Writing and executing automation test cases, custom functions, building object repositories for web and native page elements.
• Web technologies: HTML, CSS, web services.
• Must have experience with Accessibility testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve operational or process issues.
• Ability to identify and implement continuous improvements in testing processes.

Good to Have:

• Programming languages commonly used for automation: Python.
• Salesforce Testing Experience is good to Have
• GitHub Copilot or other Gen AI-based tools is an asset
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
