Qualifications

Role Overview

The company is seeking a commercially focused and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management and capital strategy of our renewable energy business. The CFO will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth, optimizing financial performance, securing project and corporate financing, and supporting investment decisions across a portfolio of renewable energy assets. The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO, Board, investors, lenders, and business leaders to execute the company’s growth strategy while maintaining strong financial discipline and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on financial strategy, business planning, and growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, acquisitions, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-term business planning.
• Provide regular analysis of financial performance, project returns, and portfolio profitability.
• Develop key financial metrics and dashboards to support executive decision-making.
• Lead annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee all accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and financial control functions.

• Identify and manage financial, operational, market, regulatory, and liquidity risks.
• Develop strategies to mitigate exposure to energy price fluctuations, interest rates, foreign exchange, and counterparty risk.
• Ensure adequate insurance and risk management coverage across the business.
• Lead investor communications, board reporting, and lender engagement activities.
• Prepare presentations, investment memoranda, and financial updates for stakeholders.
• Support fundraising initiatives and due diligence processes.
