Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or CA/CPA (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end intercompany accounting activities in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Perform intercompany settlements, reconciliations, and eliminations to support month-end/quarter-end close.
  • Analyze intercompany balance sheet and P&L variances with global finance stakeholders.
  • Prepare supporting documentation, reconciliations, and schedules for SOX, audit, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with AR, AP, Treasury, FRC, Tax, Transfer Pricing, and business finance teams to resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance efficiency and control.

Job DescriptionIntercompany (IC) Process: The Intercompany (IC) process ensures accurate accounting, settlement, reconciliation, and elimination of transactions between Agilent legal entities in compliance with GAAP and arm’s-length principles. It supports month-end close, consolidation, and audit requirements across Factory, Logistics Center, and Field Selling Entity models. The process requires close coordination with Treasury, FRC, Tax, Transfer Pricing, and global finance teams to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely financial reporting.Job Description: The Intercompany Analyst is responsible for executing day-to-day intercompany accounting activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of IC transactions. The role supports month-end close, account reconciliations, settlements, audits, and reporting requirements through effective collaboration with cross-functional finance teams. The position also contributes to process improvements, automation initiatives, and resolution of complex intercompany accounting matters.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Execute end-to-end intercompany accounting activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.Perform intercompany settlements, reconciliations, and elimination activities to support timely month-end and quarter-end close processes.Analyze and resolve intercompany balance sheet and P&L variances by partnering with relevant stakeholders across global finance organizations.Prepare and maintain supporting documentation, reconciliations, and schedules to ensure compliance with SOX, audit, and reporting requirements.Collaborate closely with AR, AP, Treasury, FRC, Tax, Transfer Pricing, and business finance teams to investigate and resolve intercompany issues.Support the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses related to intercompany transactions.Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control effectiveness.Participate in system implementations, policy updates, and other finance transformation initiatives impacting the intercompany process.Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide timely support for business and finance inquiries related to intercompany activities.Assist in resolving complex accounting issues and contribute to special projects as assigned.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or CA/CPA (or equivalent professional qualification).5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.Strong experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and financial reporting tools, with a sound technical understanding of transaction flows, master data, reconciliations, and financial reporting impacts.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High standards of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to compliance and controls.Additional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
