Job summary

Impronics Technologies is seeking an Intellectual Property Manager in Mumbai to oversee the implementation of IP strategies, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations to protect the organization’s innovations.

The role involves conducting Trademark and Patent searches, preparing and prosecuting IP applications, and serving as the point of contact for IP-related inquiries, while also maintaining accurate documentation for audits.

• Prepare, file, and prosecute IP applications including trademarks and copyrights.
• Collaborate with departments to assess IP risks and opportunities.
• Monitor and manage the IP portfolio, ensuring compliance with international IP laws.
• Serve as primary contact for all IP-related inquiries.
• Facilitate training sessions on IP best practices.
• Liaise with legal counsel to manage IP litigation and licensing negotiations.
• Routine reporting on the status of the IP portfolio.
• Analyze trends in IP activity and regulatory changes.
• Maintain accurate records of all IP assets and filings.

Technical Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IP strategies to protect the organization's innovations and technologies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough Trademark and Patent searches and evaluate results.
• Preparation, filing, and prosecution of IP applications and other IP-related filings, including trademarks and copyrights.
• Collaborate with other department and business teams to assess IP risks and opportunities associated with new products and technologies.
• Monitor and manage the IP portfolio, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with international IP laws.

Communication Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all IP-related inquiries, providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders on IP matters.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate employees on IP best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and IP firms to manage IP litigation, licensing negotiations, and other legal matters related to IP.

Reporting Responsibilities

• Routine reporting on the status of the IP portfolio, including new filings, and ongoing litigation.
• Analyze and report on trends in IP activity, competitor IP strategies, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization's IP landscape.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IP assets, filings, and correspondence to ensure proper documentation for audits and legal compliance.
