Job summary

Jobtailor in India seeks an experienced Geologist to take a central technical role in interpreting and integrating geological data. You will deliver high-quality inputs to advance business opportunities and work with cross-disciplinary teams to drive integrated subsurface solutions.

The role requires a geology degree and 10+ years of experience in oil and gas, with strong seismic interpretation skills and ability to manage diverse datasets.

Qualifications

• Geology or geoscience degree from a recognised university.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a geologist in oil, gas, or exploration, appraisal, development or production.
• Excellent geoscience and subsurface interpretation skills, including seismic interpretation (Petrel or equivalent).
• Exposure in appraisal, development and production geoscience in oil and gas assets.
• Ability to integrate diverse static and dynamic subsurface data.
• Delivery of Integrated Subsurface Descriptions.
• Skilled in communicating subsurface uncertainty and risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Requirements

• A geology / geoscience degree from a recognised university
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a geologist in oil, gas or exploration, appraisal, development or production
• Excellent geoscience and subsurface interpretation skills, including interpretation workstation skills and seismic interpretation (e.g., Petrel or equivalent)
• Exposure in appraisal, development and production geoscience in oil and gas assets
• Ability to integrate diverse static and dynamic subsurface data
• Delivery of Integrated Subsurface Descriptions
• Skilled in characterising and communicating subsurface uncertainty and risk
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
