Job summary

Baxter seeks an experienced pharmacovigilance professional to support local safety operations in India. The role focuses on collecting, documenting, and processing AE reports from all sources in compliance with national laws and Baxter procedures.

Responsibilities include surveillance, case triage, PSS data entry, and responding to global case processing teams. A science degree with PV experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in sciences, pharmacy or related field and/or PV experience.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacovigilance experience with familiarity of safety case processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and PV procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection, documentation and processing of local AE reports from all sources.
• Perform surveillance for new safety information and escalate per procedures.
• Conduct local case triage including validity checks and routing to partners.
• Process cases within the Pharmacovigilance Safety System (PSS).
• Respond to queries from the global case processing team.
• Redact source documents as needed and ensure documentation is captured in PSS.
• Perform local quality checks as required.
• Download Health Authority cases when required.
• Carry out other activities as needed.

Summary:

Summary: This position is a member of the Safety Operations team that handles country level PV activities including collection, documentation and processing of local adverse event (AE) reports from all sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage collection, documentation and processing of local AE reports from all sources based on national legislations and in accordance with Baxter's procedures
• Perform surveillance activities for any new potential safety information and elevate per procedures
• Perform local case triage including assessment of validity, duplicate check, and forwarding to internal and external partners as required.
• Perform case intake within the Pharmacovigilance Safety System (PSS).
• Respond to queries from the global case processing team.
• Perform source document redaction as necessary and ensure all source documentation is captured in PSS.
• Perform local quality checks as required.
• Perform Health Authority case download where required
• Other activities as required
