Job summary

Ashtech Infotech (India) Pvt Ltd is seeking a Sr. Technology Support Engineer to own and manage mission-critical enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, virtualization, backup, and Windows/Linux platforms.

You will drive deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and optimization in high-availability data center environments. You’ll troubleshoot hardware, manage SAN/NAS storage, administer VMware and other virtualization platforms, and execute OS patching and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in deploying and supporting enterprise servers and storage.
• Deep understanding of virtualization, clustering, and high-availability environments.
• Hands-on experience with backup/DR solutions (Commvault, NetBackup, Veeam).
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux OS administration.
• Solid networking knowledge (VLANs, bonding, TCP/IP).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support enterprise servers (Dell/HPE/Lenovo or equivalent).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues: CPU, memory, disks, firmware & drivers.
• Deploy and manage SAN/NAS storage, LUNs, RAID, multipathing, performance tuning.
• Administer virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere/ESXi; manage VM lifecycle and clustering.
• Manage backup and DR solutions and conduct restore tests and DR drills.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for escalations and RMAs.
• Document SOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Install, configure, and support enterprise servers (Dell / HPE / Lenovo or equivalent)
• Troubleshoot hardware issues: CPU, memory, disks, RAID/HBA controllers, firmware & drivers
• Deploy and manage SAN/NAS storage (LUN provisioning, RAID, multipathing, performance tuning)
• Administer virtualization platforms:
• VMware vSphere / ESXi
• Manage VM lifecycle, HA, live migration & cluster patching/upgrades
• Deploy and support enterprise backup & DR solutions (Commvault, NetBackup, Veeam, etc.)
• Perform backup monitoring, restore validation & DR drills
• Administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL / Ubuntu / SUSE) environments
• Execute OS patching, troubleshooting & performance optimization
• Monitor infrastructure health and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Coordinate with OEMs & vendors for escalations and RMAs
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs & operational runbooks
