Job summary

ValueLabs in Hyderabad is seeking a proactive SOC Analyst for an immediate/early joiner Walk-in Drive. The role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and triaging endpoint alerts using Splunk, CrowdStrike Falcon, Zeek, and Suricata within a fast-paced security operations environment.

Responsibilities include email threat analysis, initial remediation, SOAR-based triage, and collaboration via Slack. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, be available for in-office five-day

Qualifications

• Currently in Hyderabad for walk-in drive.
• Five days in office as standard working pattern.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and triage endpoint alerts and events.
• Perform initial email threat analysis and remediation.
• Utilize SOAR platform for alert triage and incident handling.
• Collaborate during shift handoffs and end-of-shift reporting.
• Maintain and update Wiki pages as needed.
• Tune detections for Splunk, Cloud, and Email security.
• Analyze alerts for banking fraud and insider threats.
• Coordinate with team via Slack for complex alerts.
• Provide initial response and containment actions for security incidents.

Job description

We are planning a Walk-in Drive for the role of SOC Analyst and are looking for enthusiastic immediate joiners who are interested in working in a dynamic and fast-paced support environment.

Role

Monitor, analyze, and Escalate Endpoint alerts and events o Endpoint analysis will require analysis of host event logs, Sysmon logs, as well as Crowdstrike Falcon

• Examine email headers, urls, and message body from custom yara detections.
• Provide initial email analysis and remediation
• Utilize and understand custom SOAR platform for Alert and initial triage
• Participate in shift hand offs and end of shift reports
• Maintain and create Wiki pages as needed
• Provide detection opportunities and fine tuning for Splunk, Cloud, Email
• Utilize Github for detection repository
• Analyze alerts for potential banking fraud
• Analyze alerts for escalation to insider threat
• Communicate and ask questions in Slack Channels with 1st and Second shifts to understand complex and custom alerts
• Provide initial response and containment actions for security incidents o Escalate to DART on call appropriately
• Analyze security-related logs and data using Splunk
• Monitor and analyze Zeek, Suricata, Public Mailbox, Email, Cloud and ZeroFox alerts and events o Provide remediation and specific targeted urls for takedown
• Analyze suspicious files and URLs using internal Sandbox
• Collaborate with the team to mitigate and counteract threats Remain informed about the latest security trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Incident response, phishing email analysis, alert triage, should be good at security concepts and network fundamentals.

Mandatory Expectations

• Working 5 days in office
• Regular shift timings
