Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking an Information Security Analyst to support SOC Incident Response, monitor security events, and coordinate with IT Infra & Ops for remediation in Bengaluru. The role requires strong cybersecurity knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

You will handle event correlation, triage activities, and education of L1 staff while ensuring data confidentiality and ongoing security operations improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or IT/Computers certification required.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools monitoring and analysis.
• Experience executing standard SOC procedures.
• Experience triaging security events and incidents.
• Experience analyzing phishing emails from internal users.
• Keen to develop in information security and security operations.
• Good written and verbal communication of technical details.

Job Description

As a Information Security Analyst, you will support SOC Incident Respond crew in providing security monitoring and react timely to security events as identified. The role requires solid understating of basic cybersecurity concepts and strong analytical mind. You will be involved in technical analysis and engagement with other IT teams within Eurofins.

Specific Assignments:

• Security Event Correlation as received from L1 SOC or Incident Response staff or relevant sources to determine increased risk to the business.
• Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts/compromises thorough review and analysis of relevant event detail and summary information
• Development and execution of SOC procedures.
• Educating and coaching the L1 colleagues.
• Triage security events and incidents, detect anomalies, and report/direct remediation actions.
• Ensure confidentiality and protection of sensitive data.
• Analysis of phishing emails reported by internal end users for cases going above L1.
• Working with remediation (IT Infra & Ops) teams on events and incident mitigation
• Follow up on remediation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's college degree and/or IT/Systems/Computers technical certification.
• Monitoring and analysis of cybersecurity tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint detection & response solutions.
• Experience with execution of standard SOC procedures.
• Experience with triage security events and incidents, detect anomalies, and report remediation actions.
• Experience with analysis of phishing emails reported by internal end users.
• Keen on further developing oneself in the information security world and the security operations.
• Working knowledge of security.
• Ability to communicate technical details effectively in writing and verbally
