Information Architecture Lead role

Job summary

Tecnoprism is seeking an experienced Information Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise information and data architecture for Commercial IT initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Information Architecture, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Enterprise Data Management.
• Strong experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
• Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud data platforms.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data governance, data lineage, and relational database design principles.
• Working knowledge of SQL and strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end information architecture strategy for Commercial IT initiatives.
• Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and canonical data models supporting business processes, reporting, and analytics.
• Establish information architecture principles, standards, and best practices across projects and markets.
• Design and maintain logical and conceptual data models supporting commercial, sales, marketing, customer, and operational processes.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data structures.
• Ensure data models are optimized for dashboards, reporting, AI/ML, and self-service BI consumption.
• Define data relationships, hierarchies, metadata standards, and business glossary structures.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Platform teams to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance.
• Establish standards for master data, reference data, and metadata management.
• Drive data stewardship practices and support data governance forums.
• Work with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Engineers, Solution Architects, and Analytics teams to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.
• Serve as the central architecture point of contact for Commercial IT programs and initiatives.
• Ensure architectural consistency across markets, platforms, and business functions.
• Support the development of analytics-ready datasets, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, reusability, and scalability.
• Contribute to enterprise data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise information and data architecture for Commercial IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in data modeling, information architecture, analytics enablement, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration to deliver scalable, reusable, and analytics-ready data solutions across business domains.

Key Responsibilities

Information Architecture Leadership

• Own and drive the end-to-end information architecture strategy for Commercial IT initiatives, aligned with enterprise data, analytics, and governance standards.
• Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and canonical data models supporting business processes, reporting, and advanced analytics use cases.
• Establish information architecture principles, standards, and best practices across projects and markets.

Data Modeling and Solution Design

• Design and maintain logical and conceptual data models supporting commercial, sales, marketing, customer, and operational business processes.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and extensible data structures.
• Ensure data models are optimized for dashboards, reporting, AI/ML, and self-service BI consumption.
• Define data relationships, hierarchies, metadata standards, and business glossary structures.

Data Governance and Quality

• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Platform teams to ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, traceability, and compliance.
• Establish standards for master data, reference data, and metadata management.
• Drive data stewardship practices and support data governance forums.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Engineers, Solution Architects, and Analytics teams to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, commercial operations, or sales and marketing domains.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or modern cloud data ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management, data catalog, and data governance tools.
• Understanding of reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• TOGAF, DAMA CDMP, or an equivalent architecture certification is an advantage.
