Job summary

Careernet in India is seeking an experienced ETL/BI engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Informatica IDMC and PowerCenter. You will craft optimized SQL queries and work across Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata databases.

The role requires Unix/Shell scripting, Autosys or similar scheduling tools, and a basic understanding of CI/CD practices, with Banking/Financial Services exposure a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong experience in Informatica IDMC and PowerCenter.
• Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT mappings, workflows, and data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or similar databases.
• Knowledge of Unix/Shell scripting and Autosys or similar scheduling tools.
• Basic experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Banking/Financial Services domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT mappings, workflows, taskflows, and data pipelines using Informatica IDMC and PowerCenter.
• Develop efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Work with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or similar relational databases.
• Develop and maintain data integration solutions supporting business and data warehousing requirements.
• Implement SCD, incremental loads, and other data warehousing methodologies.
• Participate in data migration projects, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
• Develop and maintain Unix/Shell scripts for ETL processing and operational activities.
• Work with Autosys or similar scheduling tools to schedule and monitor ETL jobs.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release management.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, performance issues, data quality problems, and production incidents.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, data validation, and defect resolution.
