Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Big Data Administrator to manage Informatica domains, Hadoop clusters, and data processing workflows. You will oversee ETL processes, tuning, and performance troubleshooting.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Informatica BDM/BDE, HDFS, Hive, Cloudera/Hortonworks/Ambari, and strong SQL. Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, cloud EMR/Azure/GCP, and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Informatica administration and Hadoop administration.
• Hands-on with Informatica BDM / Big Data Edition (BDE) and Hadoop ecosystem including HDFS, YARN, Hive.
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting.
• Proficient with SQL and HiveQL.

Responsibilities

• Manage Informatica domains, services and repositories.
• Oversee Hadoop clusters and data processing pipelines; optimize performance.
• Ensure ETL processes are robust, scalable and well-documented.
• Tuning, troubleshooting and monitoring of data workflows.
• Experience with Spark or similar big data frameworks.

• 59 years of experience in Informatica Administration + Hadoop Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with: Informatica BDM / Big Data Edition (BDE).
• Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive).
• Experience managing Informatica domains, services, and repositories.
• Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and big data processing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of cluster management tools (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Ambari).
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SQL and HiveQL.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Experience with Spark or other big data processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Kafka or streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, GCP Dataproc).
