Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Bangalore, India is seeking a senior analytics professional to structure and solve complex business problems with a data-driven approach.

The role involves leading analyses across large data sets and delivering high-quality recommendations for executive consumption. You will partner with a cross-functional team, drive process improvements, and apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to optimize operations while communicating effectively with senior leadership in a matrix

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent; MBA or Masters in Engineering equivalent business experience preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry or consulting.
• Strong analytical skills — able to extract real insight from multiple data sources; expert-level knowledge of data analytics tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI; Python.
• Proven experience working across cross-functional business teams.
• Able to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence without authority.
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to connect the dots and communicate complex ideas effectively with executive presence.
• Broad understanding and experience including service business management, product development, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma (DMAIC, Kaizen); Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
