Banyan Tree School in Delhi is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to teach vocal and instrumental music to students from Classes I to XII and to support their musical skills, creativity, discipline, confidence, and overall development.

Reports to the Principal/Head of School. Location is Lodhi Road with a full-time employment type. The role focuses on planning engaging lessons, nurturing musical talent, and coordinating performances and cultural events.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music, preferably classical
• Degree/Diploma in Music from a recognised institution
• 3–5 years of relevant school teaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Classical and/or traditional music
• Good communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
• Ability to train students for performances, competitions, and school events

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct appropriate Music classes for Classes I to XII
• Teach vocal music, basic music theory, ragas, taal, rhythm, and musical concepts
• Develop students’ singing, listening, rhythm, and performance skills
• Prepare lesson plans and structured music activities
• Assess students’ musical skills, participation, and progress
• Encourage discipline, creativity, confidence, and appreciation of music
• Identify and support students with musical talent and potential
• Prepare and train students for school functions, competitions, assemblies, and cultural events
• Organise and support music performances and other cultural activities
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment
• Maintain attendance, assessment, and activity records
• Work with teachers and school leadership to support students’ overall development
