Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking a senior Python AI Developer to design, code, and test cutting-edge software solutions. You will build backend services with FastAPI/Flask, architect microservices, and work across Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) and Azure AI services is preferred. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable applications, leverage vector databases for RAG workflows, and ensure secure, efficient REST

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python.
• Experience with backend frameworks FastAPI and Flask.
• Experience with microservices and distributed system design.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Experience delivering solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Cognitive Search.
• Proficiency with Python libraries (requests, httpx, asyncio, sqlalchemy, pandas, numpy).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, WebSockets, and RBAC.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities
