Job summary

PwC India is seeking a seasoned Java Backend Developer at Senior Associate level to join our Advisory line. You will contribute to building scalable software solutions, focusing on robust services and clean code.

You will review and optimize service layers, enforce SOLID principles, tackle concurrency issues, and drive improvements in performance and user experience across our client-facing applications. You will also engage in LeetCode-style data structures questions to strengthen algorithmic

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in backend software development
• Strong Java 11+ proficiency and data structures/algorithms
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Ability to write clean, scalable, and testable code with SOLID principles

Responsibilities

• Solve programming questions using LeetCode related to data structures
• Review and improve Java service layer code following coding standards
• Identify and fix design flaws, concurrency issues, exception handling, and resource management
• Analyze order processing services for vulnerabilities, memory leaks, and bottlenecks
• Refactor code for readability, maintainability and proper separation of responsibilities
• Implement thread-safety improvements and use of thread-safe collections
• Remove redundant validations and duplicate code, promote reusable utilities and validators

• Review and improve Java service layer code focusing on coding standards and adherence to SOLID principles.
