PwC Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Associate in Identity & Access Management Operations. You will support Entra ID and SSO services, lead incident, change and problem management, and drive security improvements across the IAM stack.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IAM experience with Entra ID and Entra ID / AAD Connect.

In service management at PwC, you will focus on overseeing and confirming the delivery of quality and timely services. You will monitor vendor compliance with contractual agreements for service quality, availability, and reliability, manage the business and delivery of services, and lead service recovery in case of major incidents.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate within the Identity & Access Management technical operations team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and advancing PwC’s SSO (authentication), and related security services, specifically focusing on Entra ID Operations.

As a member of our globally distributed IAM Operations Team, ideal candidate will ensure service availability, stability, and security, driving modernization efforts aligned with PwC security and compliance standards. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder collaboration, and proven people management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

Manage day-to-day IAM service delivery using Entra ID

Deliver on our charter, SLOs, and SLAs for IAM Services in terms of Availability, Stability, Resilience, and Security

Own and execute Level 3/Level 4 incident and problem management processes, applying deep technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis to remediate issues proactively and reactively.

Coordinate and lead change management efforts and conduct thorough testing sequentially across Development, Staging, and Production environments

Identify and resolve potential bottlenecks through proactive monitoring and alerting, optimize platform performance, and enforce preventive measures to improve availability and stability

Oversee timely inspection and remediation of vulnerabilities, ensuring strict compliance with identity security policies and standards

Drive efficiencies via automation and scripting (Shell, PowerShell, MS Graph) and database queries

Change Management

Plan and Implement changes (bug fixes, enhancements, etc.) per PwC Change Management Processes

Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate quality issues

Conduct Pre and Post Change inspections and testing

Coordinate and contribute to IAM Change Communications

Work with IAM Engineering and Leadership Team to manage IAM change backlog, releases, etc.

Ensure timely closure of Change Records

Incident Management

Demonstrate deep technical troubleshooting to remediate technical issues (proactive and reactive)

Ensure timely customer and stakeholder management and communication

Effectively engage vendors and cross-functional teams like IAM Engineering, Network, Compute, etc. to investigate and remediate technical issues

Ensure timely closure of incidents

Problem Management

Conduct Root Cause Analysis of incidents and issues which may occur within IAM Services

Ensure effective management and timely closure of Problem Records and related activities.

Define and coordinate implementation of preventive measures to avoid issues, and increase stability, availability, and security of IAM Services

Security

Conduct regular and timely inspection and remediation of vulnerabilities

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Plan, collaborate, and conduct annual BC/DR exercises, updating processes and procedures as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams e.g. Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management, Compute, Network, Cyber, Cloud Services, Engineering, Vendors, etc.

Miscellaneous Projects and Initiatives

Involving Entra ID. Example: Acquisitions, Divestitures, Certifications, etc.

Keeping IAM documentation up to date. This is a shared responsibility across the team, but diligence is required.

Identifying and remediating potential bottlenecks and issues (proactive and reactive)

Maintain optimal configuration of IAM platform and services across (performance, availability, stability, and security)

Monitoring and Alerting for the same

Drive efficiencies via use of AI and Automations

Collaboration & Governance

Collaborate closely with cross functional teams and vendors to support and deliver world class IAM Services to our global customer base

Support identity governance activities such as annual audits, compliance, risk and access reviews, certifications, and compliance reporting

Assist with annual security testing, etc. and complete them in a timely manner

Maintain accurate, up-to-date IAM documentation to ensure operational transparency and knowledge continuity

Qualifications

Required

4+ years of IAM experience with significant depth in Entra ID and Entra ID / AAD Connect.

Demonstrated experience supporting IAM Services for large organizations

Strong understanding of cloud identity patterns and integrations across AD/Entra ID, ServiceNow, and cloud platforms

Proficiency in Entra ID administration

Experience in Entra ID Connect / Azure AD Connect configuration and upgrades

Intimate knowledge of IAM concepts (Provisioning, User Flows Authn, Authz, Federation, Hybrid Join, MFA, Windows Hello for Business, etc.)

Protocols like SAML, OAuth, LDAP, OpenID, WS-Fed, Kerberos.

Analysis of web application usage traffic using Fiddler, HAR files, etc.

Experience with multi-factor authentication and certificates

Experience in scripting languages like PowerShell and use of MS Graph are highly preferred

Experience in working with CICD pipelines & workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub actions) preferred

Experience in Operations Management is highly preferred (Change Management, Problem Management, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
