Job summary

PwC is seeking an AI Data Engineer with strong Databricks, SQL, Python and AI/ML experience to join the Data, Analytics & AI team in Bangalore/Noida. You will design and implement scalable AI-driven data solutions on the Azure cloud, building intelligent data pipelines and deploying ML models in production.

You will work with Databricks, SQL, Python and applied AI/ML frameworks to shape data architectures, enabling data-driven insights for clients, and collaborate across teams in a dynamic PwC

Qualifications

Strong SQL skills required.
Experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data engineering.
Hands-on with data modeling, normalization and denormalization.
Experience with data warehousing and BI tools integration.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
Experience building scalable ETL pipelines and AI/ML integration.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and manage scalable and secure data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Architect and implement cloud-based data solutions, integrating structured and unstructured data sources.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code primarily in Python for cloud automation, data processing, and orchestration.
Build and optimize ETL workflows and ensure seamless data integration across platforms.
Develop data models using normalization and denormalization techniques to support OLTP and OLAP systems.
Manage Azure-based storage solutions including Azure Data Lake and Blob Storage.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in data flows and ETL processes.
Integrate advanced analytics and support BI use cases within the Azure ecosystem.
Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to version control practices (e.g., Git).
Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-level data warehousing solutions.

Job Description & Summary

We are looking for a skilled AI Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks, Advanced SQL, Python programming, and applied AI/ML frameworks, to join our team in Bangalore/Noida. The candidate should have hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude, and Cursor, and be comfortable using them as part of their daily workflow. A solid understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agentic AI patterns is a must - the candidate should be proficient in using MCP skills and agents to accelerate development, with the ability to create custom skills and agents being a strong nice-to-have. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable AI-driven data solutions on the Azure cloud platform, building intelligent data pipelines, integrating machine learning models into production workflows, and transforming complex data into actionable insights by leveraging cloud-native tools, generative AI capabilities, and modern data engineering practices.
